L3 Philosophy™
Love Yourself. Love Your Relationships. Love Your Life.
Welcome, fellow Sophophiles! Wait - don’t leave.
I didn’t know what that word was either until I just Googled “What do you call someone who is a seeker of wisdom, knowledge, and self-discovery?”
Apparently, there are lots of terms to choose from like self-actualizer, soul-searcher, and philomath to name a few.
If you identify with the words above or any of the following…
You are a Seeker, particularly of your inner truth
You are ready to heal, rebuild, and move forward from something or someone
You want to reinvent yourself and are ready for change
You feel like there is more “out there” for you but need more clarity on what that is
You understand that life is sending you growth opportunities through challenges and transitions and you are open to seeing these as potential gifts
…then you’ll love this blog and newsletter. And I’m so excited you’re here.
My name is Emmi. I’ve been on a lifelong journey to “L3”: love myself, love my relationships, and love my life. But I wasn’t always aware that I was even on this journey until huge life disruptions started occurring, bringing me on a roller coaster of highs and lows, yet offering plenty of self-discovery and truths of which I had not yet been aware.
Perhaps you’ve experienced some version of this, too.
The inflection point that forced me to look at myself and my life in new ways started with a divorce, immediately followed by a tumultuous, yet passionate relationship I would classify as a love addiction. However, it was because of this relationship ride that I ended up taking my very first international solo trip, which was a feat I never thought I was the “type of person” to accomplish.
Then, years later, I mustered up the courage to publish my vulnerable, entertaining, and spicy memoir about my journey through a situationship with a man in the salsa dancing scene, becoming an international best-selling and award-winning author. You can watch the book trailer here! It was so cool to organize the short film production experience. From this, I realized that my love for writing and authorship could be used to help other people who need what I needed at the time, so I went on to publish 4 guided self-reinvention journals.
Most importantly, I chose to turn my pain into a greater purpose, switching careers from a high school biology teacher of 16 years to a Breakup & Relationship coach. I’ve been featured in numerous podcasts and media outlets such as Katie Couric Media, Newsweek, Thrive Global, Cosmopolitan, AskMen, and many more.
However, that’s not what truly brings me joy. What makes me feel most satisfied are the transformations I regularly see with the people I work with. I’m humbled, every time, that they have chosen me to be their guide through what can be the hardest time in their lives as they trust me with their vulnerability, heartache, perseverance, and their soul’s desires. You can learn more about their transformations by reading their stories on my About page and Services page. If you are looking for help in this department, you can also download my free Relationship Cheat Sheet Guide to discover the 3 reasons why women and men can’t break free from unfulfilling or toxic relationships - and how to overcome them.
And now, my “L3” journey continues as my voracious love for learning and personal development leads me to connect more deeply with my soul and spirituality. I’m no longer just on a personal quest; I’m on a mission to share what I’ve learned with you. And not only that, but share the stories, insights, and expert advice of other beautiful humans I’ve crossed paths with on my YouTube series L3 Philosophy with Emmi. Here, I distill the concepts we discuss into tangible tools you can use as an action plan to experiment with as you create your present and future.
Even though I believe it is our responsibility to take ownership of our own lives, it doesn’t mean we have to do it alone.
So what does this all have to do with you?
I invite you to be curious with me about how we can learn to see things differently when we’re stuck. I invite you to join me in learning the tools needed to fully blossom in every area of our lives. And I invite you to practice with me the art of loving and accepting ourselves as we are right now, so that the benefits ripple into our relationships and our lives.
